This is a list of all my favorite movies, sorted by year of release. The first thing one will notice about this list is its length, as I have seen a lot of movies. This is by no means intended to be a list of movie "classics." Although many titles listed here are indeed films that are considered important for one reason or another, many, many others were released as program pictures or feature a particular director, actor, and/or actress whose work I like to follow. I'm also very fond of silents, "pre-Code" Hollywood,
