My interest in making videos goes back some twenty years or more. That sounds like a long time, and I suppose it is, particularly when you consider that in the beginning there were no digital cameras, DVD or Flash camcorders, or cell phone cameras with which to do it. Movies and television hold an almost mystical fascination for the young, and this was especially true in the days before the means of recording moving pictures were cheap and readily available at every corner convenience store. As time passed, I moved on to other interests, but the interest of videography never completely left me, and so it came to pass that in early 2008 I finally acquired my first video camera. The first camera was a Sony Hi8 Handycam purchased off eBay, and in late March of that same year, I made my first test video.

Subjects for video shorts have included things as diverse as video tests made in my living room, readings from local performance artists, galleries of photos animated in Adobe Premiere, and a walking tour of Deep Ellum. Some of these are featured here. None of this material is intended to be professional or even semi-professional, though I have made an effort to get good quality sound when possible through the use of a separate microphone.
